Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) is a people-powered political movement founded by Shri Tej Pratap, inspired by the socialist and democratic ideals of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Shri Jayaprakash Narayan (JP), Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav and other social justice leaders. We believe democracy must deliver dignity with development, rights with responsibility, and power with purpose. JJD works to amplify the voice of farmers, workers, youth, women, and marginalized communities who form the backbone of the nation.

JJD stands for politics that is principled, progressive, and people-first.

Shri Tej Pratap Yadav

Elder son of former Bihar CMs Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. He won the Mahua Assembly seat in 2015 and Hasanpur in 2020, serving two terms as MLA. He was appointed Cabinet Minister for Health (and briefly Environment, Forest & Climate Change) in the 2015, notably promoting horse-riding patrols as an eco-friendly anti-pollution measure in Patna. He founded Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), in 2025 and leading the party as National President.
